About Del Mar Dog Rescue
This isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what we believe in. We’re here to create meaningful work, guided by a shared commitment to quality, care, and a deep compassion for dogs in need. At our core, we strive to make a difference—one connection at a time—with the goal of bringing people and dogs together in lasting, loving homes.
We exist to give dogs a second chance—and a better life.
At Del Mar Dog Rescue, our mission is to rescue dogs from abuse, neglect, and abandonment across Southern California, Baja California, and beyond—then guide them into safe, loving homes where they can thrive.
But rescue is only the beginning.
We provide medical care, nourishment, and rehabilitation—helping each dog heal, rebuild trust, and rediscover what it means to feel safe. Through thoughtful socialization and compassionate care, we prepare every dog not just to survive, but to belong.
Because every dog deserves more than a second chance.
They deserve a future.
Who We Are
We are a community of people who believe animals deserve a voice—and a path to something better.
Founded in 2021, Del Mar Dog Rescue is a foster-based, volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to saving as many vulnerable dogs as possible. Our work is driven by compassion, but grounded in action: rescuing dogs from unsafe conditions, providing essential veterinary care, and placing them in homes where they are truly valued.
We don’t operate out of a single facility. Instead, our network of fosters opens their homes—and their hearts—creating space for dogs to heal in real, lived environments.
Every dog we rescue is met with patience, care, and respect.
Every adopter becomes part of the story.
And every person who joins us—foster, volunteer, donor, or advocate—helps move this mission forward.
Together, we’re not just saving dogs.
We’re building a community rooted in compassion, responsibility, and second chances.
